OUR COMMITMENT

Our dedication to our products

Our founders decided to raise their own cattle so they could know exactly what was in their beef. Mountain States Cattle is committed  to raising high-end, delicious, and healthy beef that is a cut above the rest.

OUR CATTLE

What makes our cattle different from the rest? From the moment our cows are born, we handle them with the utmost care and affection. We raise our cows on our pastures, feed them on our homegrown hay, and care for them personally with our own people. Nothing happens to our cows that we don't know about. Large commercial feedlots add synthetic antibiotics to their feed that end up in their final beef products. At Mountain States Cattle, our American Wagyu beef is free of artificial hormones so you can enjoy meat without synthetic antibiotics and steroids.

We use natural supplements to keep our cattle healthy. While the average finishing time for cattle in the United States is 3 to 5 months, Mountain States Cattle finish our animals for 6 months to a year to ensure premium marbling and animal health. After the finishing process, our cattle are butchered in a USDA-approved facility.

Wagyu beef, locally-raised, from our family to yours.

WHY WAGYU?

Wagyu is a superior breed. Wagyu beef is famous for a high level of marbling, which makes it more flavorful, juicy, and tender for a melt-in-your-mouth experience. Wagyu beef also combats the idea that all red meat is bad for you. Containing loads of monosaturated fats, iron, vitamin B, and omega-3, Wagyu is healthier than any other red meat out there.

Our cows are American Wagyu, a blend of Wagyu and Aberdeen Angus. We've developed meat that is healthy and delicious, and, through our careful cattle practices, enhanced each breed's natural benefits.

For ten years, we have been on a mission to breed the perfect cow. To naturally develop superior genetics, we are incredibly selective about the cows that we keep. The Mountain States team examines our herd, cow-by-cow, to make sure that only the best beef ends up on your dinner table.
